Bacardi and the Paris based Pernod Ricard are entangled in a decade-long fight over who owns the rights to the brand in the United States. In 1993, the Cuban government established a joint venture with France's Pernod Ricard to exploit the brand, however in 1997 Bacardi bought the rights to the brand name from the Arechabala family, and registered the name in the US.
In 1976, after the Arechabala family's Havana Club trademark registration expired, Cubaexport registered the brand in the US through a loophole in the trade embargo. Originally the Havana Club rum was created in Cuba by the Arechabala family in 1935, and was exported to the US and other countries until the 1960s, when Fidel Castro's government confiscated the brand and other assets without compensation. So the 2 stars are for Alexa, Bartenders Vuk Rob Alex and Dom, Bouncers G, Muhammad, Dan etc ALL PHENOMENAL PEOPLE. I cant even meetup with my friends there anymore. The only person who tried to help was Alexa shes amazing she is. 9 yrs ive been going to this club and just like that I was banned because of how someone feels about me personally. All because I wont greet him anymore Now the security outside Dan, Muhammad, G and etc (who are like my brothers) wont let me in. He told me "if u feel like you need to take a step back from me you need to take a step back from this club" gave me my admission money back and had me escorted out the club and Isaac told them to not let me back in.just like that. My experience in voyuer turned sour when I stopped speaking to the head of security Isaac, I greeted him n Woodys and he mustve been n a bad mood so he brushed me off with an attitude like he didnt want to be bothered which was fine so I stopped speaking to him next thing I know weeks later where in Voyuer he pulled me to the side n asked if I had any "animosity" with him I said no I jus took a step back from him. I know the bartenders Rob Dom Vuk Alex there all great guys with great service ive known them for years.

I usually judge a place on if they take the time to make the restrooms special, and here, they've wallpapered them in comic books! The rest of the decor is simple, and understated.

Downstairs is a tiny bar, while upstairs is a lounge. It's small and relatively quiet, so it makes the perfect date spot, because you can actually have a conversation. I've been telling everyone how much I love Writer's Block, so I thought it was time to write a review.Atmosphere: Even though it's a cocktail bar, it has a chill non-pretentious vibe.
